The Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley will hold a low cost pet vaccination and microchip clinic on Saturday, January 17th, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Society’s Fix-A-Pet Clinic located at 10421 Chapman Highway in Seymour. No appointment is necessary.
Heartworm testing for dogs will be offered for $18 and feline leukemia and lenti virus testing for cats will cost $20.
The discounted price for a microchip and lifetime registration will be $30. "We encourage everyone to microchip their pets", said Humane Society Executive Director Vicky Crosetti. "So many beloved pets were separated from their families during Katrina and a microchip would have given them a real opportunity to be reunited. Collars and tags can be lost; a microchip is forever."
