World Spay Day is a national movement that works towards ending the euthanasia of adoptable animals due to overpopulation. Thousands of veterinarians, animal rescue organizations, and pet owners will celebrate World Spay Day in February this year by participating in spay and neuter events. The goal is to alter as many pets as possible while also educating about why these procedures are important to reaching the goal of no more homeless pets.
The Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley will be holding a three day spay and neuter event on February 18th, 19th, and 20th. We are proud to be partnering with The Love Kitchen on the 18th and 20th by providing transport from the Love Kitchen to our Bearden Hill facility for $25 spays and neuters. No one will be refused the service based on ability to pay.
You can schedule to get your pet altered at this event by calling 865-579-6738 or visiting the Love Kitchen, limited spaces are available. You can help by spreading the word to friends, family, and neighbors who could benefit from this event or by calling and “Spaying it Forward” with a donation.
